Offene Werkstätten sind Orte, an denen wir unsere "Zukünfte vor Ort" aktiv mitgestalten können. Wir laden ein, das Konzept des "Critical Making" kennenzulernen: Hier geht es nicht nur ums Machen, sondern auch darum, Technologien kritisch zu hinterfragen und nachhaltige, gesellschaftlich relevante Projekte zu entwickeln. Wir führen durch das Munich Maker Lab und diskutieren mit Ihnen, wie solche Orte und Ansätze lokale Herausforderungen adressieren und positive Visionen für unsere Stadt entwickeln können.

Fourth time we did a MVHS course/discussion round on makerspaces, and the first time we focussed on the connection to Critical Making. Discussions were good, but the focus was mostly on Makerspaces in general as well as the Munich Maker Lab’s place in the local (neighborhood level) ecosystem, which ties a bit into the local relevance bit of critical making, but we did not get into discussions on actual critical making projects. Still we took 2.5h instead of 1h we had originally planned, partly due to the tour around the MuMaLab taking way longer than we had expected (due to lots of discussion already going on then).
